Rapper T.I. vowed to stop what he called "this ongoing process of destruction" Thursday, a day before he goes before a federal judge who could send him back to prison for a probation violation.
"I'm tired. I'm wore out," T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris, told CNN's Don Lemon.
Harris was arrested on drug charges in Los Angeles last month, triggering Friday's hearing in Atlanta, which could end with the revocation of the rapper's probation on a federal weapon's conviction.
Although he could not talk about the facts of his case, Harris did speak personally about his regrets.
"The only thing that I can say, man, is that all people who have supported me, who were behind me, who believed in me, who were disappointed and were let down, I just offered your trust back and to make you proud yet again," he said.
When Lemon asked the rapper if that meant he would "never again" get in trouble, he answered "absolutely."
"I'm tired. I'm wore out," he said. "I don't have the age, the energy or just the attitude to move forward and continuing in this cycle, in this ongoing process of destruction and disparity in my life. I've got too many depending on me and counting on me. I can't do it."
Harris and his wife, Tameka "Tiny" Cottle, were arrested on drug charges during a traffic stop on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood last month.
In 2008, Harris was sentenced on charges of unlawfully possessing firearms as a convicted felon. The charges came after an arrest by federal agents a year earlier while Harris was buying three machine guns in the parking lot of an Atlanta grocery store.
Harris was released after serving nine months in prison and three months in a halfway house.

I really hate that this has happened to TI and Tiny. I seemed to me, to be a young man who had his head on straight with an up and promising career. I pray that through these bad choices, he will learn that it is not worth it. God has given him a gift and I just wish him the best even though he is facing consequences....

Wow, so I guess it really took this to make you understand things T.I.? What about being busted and having so many weapons, by your already felon self, wasn't enough to make you tired then? You just had to be caught, busting an illegal U, and then with illegal drugs?????? Get a clue T.I. You are a grown man with children. I don't know if you are trying to get skreet cred, as they say. One thing I can hand JayZ, not saying he is perfect, he could be doing his dirt on the low, but at least he is not in the headlines making a complete mockery of the "justice" system and just totally disregarding the "power" of his celebrity.

@MRS.DMS...he's human...aren't you?...sometimes it takes some of us a little longer than others to "get it" but, does that make those that learn at a slower pace less than?...

Yes Dear, I am very much HUMAN, but you can bet, I don't have to learn from the SAME mistakes TWICE. With this mans' money and talent, and without them, NO EXCUSE if offered to him, by anything he has done, SINCE being in trouble 2 other times, prior to this. When I have done something, not nearly to the tune of what he has done here, I learn from it and I make dayum sure I don't do it again. It seems to me, he either thinks he is above the law, has no respect for it, or simply just doesn't care. Again, why does a grown man, with children, have to make SO many of the SAME mistakes, BEFORE he finally gets it?
