Two pastors, Reuben Armstrong and Prophet H. Walker, have teamed up to plan a rally against Bishop Eddie Long. Both pastors are asking that Long resign from his church, and Armstrong has even gone as far as asking that Bishop Eddie Long take an HIV test.
Armstrong is a radio show host and Walker is the pastor of the True Light Pentecostal Church in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The two plan to rally this weekend in Atlanta. The event is set to take place on October 31st at the state capitol.

Armstrong is the author of the book, "Snakes in the Pulpit," where he discusses fictional pastors who sleep with men. He now claims publicly that members of the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church came to him years ago to discuss Bishop Eddie Long's sexual behavior. According to Armstrong, they claimed that Long was sleeping with young men in the church. I am not sure why he's publicly requesting that Eddie Long undergo an HIV test. Anyone can catch HIV, not just pastors accused of sleeping with other men.
I've seen e-mails from Reuben Armstrong on a few occasions. He appears to be working very hard to get the message out about Bishop Eddie Long. I am hopeful that this hard work is driven by a genuine desire to help young people and is not a personal vendetta against Long or a simple quest for publicity. Armstrong has a book and radio show to promote, and someone is working awfully hard to put Armstrong's name in the public eye at the expense of Bishop Eddie Long.
I'd be the first to admit that if it is true that Eddie Long truly has been sleeping with the young men in his church, then the issue must be investigated. At the same time, I have yet to truly understand why other pastors with small churches and radio shows are working so hard to make this into a publicity stunt. There's just something about all this that seems unGodly.

I think these guys r attempting 2 capitalize on Bishop Long's misfortunes n the hope of gaining an audience 4 themselves. Most likely, they've always disliked him and r jealous of his success. I agree that if the allegations r true, then the appropriate steps should b taken, but as 4 these men, I think they're basically major "haters"...

Regardless of the guys motives, If the allegations are true it's disturbing to realize that a man of God is behaving in that manor.

true.. these men may have various motives to accuse long.. but if all this is true.. *( and looking at Long preaching with a muscle shirt at the altar-appears just a bit suspicious) : if the allegations are true. ...the underlying issue is he is a monumental hypocrite.., marching against homosexuals and then being one.. That's the real issue even if these men didnt come out against him til years later.. and in fact,, sometimes people sexually abused or coerced have shame and dont speak out til later

If a black woman gets raped, is she a "hater" to want justice? Let me axed you this, is OJ guilty? Black people tend to support black criminals just because they are black.

I think Bishop Long is guilty as sin, but I am not God.
And they are not God. They are just a couple of preachers trying to claim their 15 minutes of fame.
God will take care of Bishop Long. The truth shall prevail if he is wrong.

I agree whole heartedly with A.Davis if the Bischop is guilty then take appropiate steps but to pile on like those so called preachers are doing is wrong. We all have did things wheras we cannot afford to be so harsh remeber he who is without sin cast the first stone.

ARNEDER- Read SNAKES IN THE PULPIT. He came PUBLIC about Eddie Long years ago. Sad that people still attend any service that LONG does. He's acting like it will just GO AWAY and the TITHES will keep on rolling.

I hope that Rueben Armstrong and Prophet H. Walker are not going to make a circus of this and also a profit. As a christian I don't believe in marching against a fallen Angel...I believe if the accusation are true about Eddie Long..The appropriate actions should be taken, this is March thing is taken it a bit too far..The man has not even been found guilty.
