Members of a Somali sex-trafficking ring (pictured above), who imported girls under the age of 14 to work as prostitutes in Minnesota, Tennessee and Ohio, were busted by authorities.
The indictment named 29 people in the ring who sought to bring young Somali girls to the United States to become sex workers.
Investigators said young Somali or black American girls were used for sex acts by Minneapolis-based gangs going by the names of the Somali Outlaws, the Somali Mafia and the Lady Outlaws.
It is amazing to me that officials say the ring has been in operation for 10 years.
How can such a scheme go undetected for so long? None of those girls found an opportunity to run away or find help during that decade? No police officer caught wind of this ring in all that time?
In one indictment, a defendant nicknamed Hollywood used to pick up his young victim from school, have sex with her and then tell her to have sex with other men.
Since when can schoolgirls keep their mouths shut about anything, especially something as bizarre as participating in a sex ring? I don't understand it.
Perhaps coming from a non-functioning nation where no effective federal government or educational opportunities exist lowered the girls' expectations for life.
As sad as it may be, living as a sex slave in Minneapolis may have been a better alternative than living in Somalia.

Why doesit seem that you are blaming the child victims in this horrible story. They are children and your reporting is pretty bleek, so you don't really know the story. Why not blame the gangs who are orchestrating this. SMH!!!

So we can blame the educational opportunities in the United States and the functioning government for the African American prison population of 40%? Oh and wait African Americans only make up 13.5% of the US population. Its interesting that only 20% of African Americans have college degrees. These young men come from a Muslim society where a woman is valued less than a dog.That they would prey upon under age girls and force them to become sex slaves does not surprise me at all.They are also not the only immigrants who've chosen to exploit their women in the sex trade.I've heard of Thai and Chinese just off the boat doing the exact same thing.
The problem is the political correct mentality that allowed the police to not have members of this community under 24/7 watch for illegal activity,including potential terrorist associations.If the local authorities had been on the look out they would have been able to bust this gang earlier.
The problem now is to get the families to stand up for their exploited girls and get them the help they need and not fall back on the shame mentality that often leads to honor killing in Muslim society.
SEND THOSE GANG MEMBERS BACK TO SOMOLIA, EVEN IF IT MEANS THEY WILL TAKE THEIR HORRIBLE ACTS WITH THEM. WE HAVE ENOUGH PROBLEMS HERE WITH OTHER GANGS AND THEIR DEVIL MAY CARE ACTIVITIES

I doubt that the "gang" was the only ones having sex with these children. These gangs preyed on the fact that in the Black community there is a blind eye turned to illegal activities. If you think it is the same way in most white communities you are wrong. Get involved, save your children and community.

@Pam, I'm on it 24/7. I am one of those pains in the ass that calls the Cops when Roudy kids are at the school at night breaking bottles and burning up their tires in the parking lot. I also report drunk drivers on the highway. If you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem. And by the way Pam, I, unlike you, want to keep ALL the kids safe not only the White ones. Your are right about one thing...My community IS precious.
Life in prison is what they should get and not in our prisons.. send them back 2 their own damn countries.. who the F*&K has sex w/children.. what f'n grown ass man thinks this is ok.. why do they believe dehumanizing a child is ok.. and then their are pictures of women up their to..
