Procter & Gamble's Gillette brand is ending its endorsement deal with golfer Tiger Woods as of Dec. 31.
The men's grooming company will not renew its sponsorship deal with Woods as part of a plan to phase out its Gillette Champions marketing campaign in the first quarter of 2011, said Gillette spokesman
Under the strategy, Gillette is cutting ties with Woods, soccer players Thierry Henry, Kaka, Rafa Marquez and Lionel Messi and other athletic endorsers around the world, said Norton. However, it's keeping other athletes who served as Gillette champions in global or local marketing efforts. They include: shortstop Derek Jeter of the New York Yankees; tennis star Roger Federer and Washington Capitals star Alex Ovechkin.
Woods, Federer and Henry launched the Champions campaign in 2007 and it became one of the most successful global marketing efforts in Gillette's history. Eventually, Gillette used 38 different athletic endorsers from seven different sports to reach consumers in 180 countries.
In an e-mail to USA TODAY, Woods' agent, Mark Steinberg of IMG Worldwide, said: "The contract between Tiger and Gillette expires at the end of this year. Gillette is ending their 'Champions' campaign. That is the reason for not continuing."

I agree with you. It's sad how bad decisions messes up a wonderful and rewarding career. He could had just threw on a wig and played dress up with his wife to spice up things. But he chose to sleep around with all these women like he wasn't going to get caught. He is shameful and he got what he deserved plus more

I'VE ALWAYS BEEN GLAD TO SEE A BLACK PERSON PERFORM WELL IN THE TRADITIONALLY WHITE GOLF GAME...BUT FOR TIGER NOT TO EMBRACE AND BE PROUD OF HIS BLACK SIDE, HAS ALWAYS BEEN A LET DOWN...
THEN WITH HIS EDUCATION, TALENT, AND GREAT WEALTH, HE GOES AND MARRIES A DAMN CHEAP RICH FOLKS GOLD DIGGING NANNY....
HE COULD HAVE HAD ANY WOMAN OF SUBSTANCE BUT ALL HE NEEDED WAS A WHITE WOMAN WITH A PRETTY BLOND HAIRED ASS AND An EMPTY BAG...
TIGER THOUGHT HE WAS SOMEWHAT "MORE" THAN A BLACKMAN BUT AS SOON AS CONTROVERSY CAME, HE LEARNED WHAT HE WAS BECAUSE A WHITE SPORTSMAN NEVER WOULD HAVE GENERATED SO MUCH PRESS, HATRED, LAWSUITS, AND ATTENTION FOR CHEATING ON A WIFE....
HOPEFULLY TIGER LEARNED HIS LESSON BUT I SORT OF DOUBT IT...'TIGERS NEVER CHANGE THEIR STRIPES'

You all are nut cases, you think you are smarter than TIGER not even close, and as far as golf it takes a real person to beat the field of golf like he has and still will do. His game will be back because he wants to make it come back. Hes also gave more of his winnings to charities than any celeberty. he actualy made a foundation unlike any of you have done, he needs not gillette, he will make it with no problems. Say what you want anyone that likes golf or has played the game knows the real truth it takes some real game to be a golf winner, you really can't even compair football or baseball to golf, golf is way more demanding. Oh and all the crap about Tiger is cool hes still a multi million dollar man. He owes no one anything in life he was and is a golfer, not a hero, not a leader justa man. And maybe he had some faults but you all have your own faults LQQK deep in to your own lives before you critize others. You go TIGER we know you will break records that most don't want you to break but you will do it anyways, your name will go down in to history as the greatest golfer ever.

Um, you're absolutely wrong on so many levels. Tiger Woods will NEVER play the same. His game is gone for good because of his stupidity. He does owe someone something and that would be his children. He was obligated to his children to be a FATHER that would protect, nurture, and educate them to the best of his abilities, and how will he do this now that he's divorced? What he did is bigger than a MISTAKE. He messed his destiny up trying to be a player. He ruined his family. Sure, you'll see him probably not long for now with a money hungry bimbo or two hanging off of him, but he'll never have the RESPECT he once had before he got caught. Being the greatest of anything is irrelevant when you don't have a special person in your life whom you care about to share it with. There'll also be a caption (or maybe a few pictures of his jump offs) next to his greatest golfer ever reading "Divorced by his wife for having sex with over a dozen women".

Tiger lost his contract with Gillette, and there are probably other endorsements that he will loss. Just like he violated the marriage contract he had with his Ex-Wife...by allegedly being with 15 to 20 women....it's now coming home to roost. Personally I don't care "Jack" about Tiger bc he has never embraced the black side of his heritage.
