Gucci Mane Faces 17 Months in Prison For Parole Violation

So what else is new? Gucci Mane's antics just can't seem to keep him out of trouble! The rapper faces jail time, yet again, and this time for 17 months if he is found guilty of parole violation for a November arrest last year.

Gucci Mane, whose real name is Radric Davis, was cuffed last November and sent to
Atlanta's Fulton County prison on a slew of serious motor vehicle–related charges.

Just last May, the Brick Squad CEO was released from prison, after serving a year-long prison term for violating a 2005 assault conviction probation.

All in all, throughout an 11-year period since 2001, Mane has seen the inside of a prison cell a total of five times.

Last October, Mane checked himself in to a 28-day rehab facility for an alleged cocaine addiction. Reportedly, members of the 30-year-old rapper's entourage were involved in an hour-long stand-off against Gucci outside the Riverwoods Southern Regional Psychiatric Center in Riverdale, Ga.

The group, which included his manager and lawyer, begged Mane to enter the facility for treatment, apparently even interrupting a Narcotics Anonymous class that was taking place at the time of his arrival. Mane's lawyer was also allegedly unrelenting in the coaxing of his client to enter the facility to get much-needed help. He advised Mane that he could wind up back in the slammer if he refused treatment.

In 2008, Mane was also jailed for a DUI charge.

Even with all of the arrests, Mane has contended that he is clean, free of drugs and drink.

Meanwhile, a judge ain't buying his "sober and loving it" line and has ordered Mane to spend 30 days in a medical treatment facility until his hearing on January 24th:

"The court ordered Mr. Davis in to treatment of a medical treatment facility, pending a revocation hearing later this month." Gucci's lawyer, Michael Holmes, told XXL.

Court dates and jail time is a pitiful trend that is only increasing for our talented hip-hop stars. If stars, such as Lil' Wayne, Foxy Brown, T.I., and DMX don't stop their destructive behavior, they will be hanging their mics up for good!
