O.J. Beat Down In Prison? 'The Juice' Laughs off 'Bogus' Story

There probably aren't many things to laugh about in prison, but O.J. Simpson has found one.
According to TMZ.com, Simpson was greatly amused by what he called a false report that claimed he was severely beaten by a fellow inmate at Nevada's Lovelock Correctional Center.

The story, which was published in the National Enquirer, claimed Simpson was knocked to the ground, punched and kicked to a "bloody pulp," left with injuries so severe he had to secretly recover in the infirmary for nearly three weeks.

The attack allegedly put him into such a "deep depression" that he spends most of his time now confined to his cell, claims the tabloid.

However, Simpson, 63, reportedly "laughed his ass off" when prison guards informed him of the tale.

Steve Suwe, the public information officer for the Lovelock Correctional Center in Nevada, denied the claims to USA Today, saying the report is "totally bogus."

A rep from the prison confirmed to TMZ that the former NFL player is just fine, noting there haven't been any "incidents regarding O.J. in any shape or form."

Simpson is currently serving a 33-year sentence on a kidnapping and armed robbery conviction after a botched sports memorabilia recovery attempt in Arizona.
