For Atlanta Police Officer Steve Brown (pictured), that day was Feb. 17th, when his 9-year career in uniform came to a screeching halt after a bizarre incident at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport involving the theft of $2,000.
A woman reported that she lost her black handbag containing the money. She checked with a man at a counter who said he had passed it on to Officer Brown. She saw the policeman who gave her the bag - minus the cash.
Brown was put on administrative leave while the investigation of the incident began but then quit.
It hasn't been decided whether further charges will be pressed against Brown. A woman who answered the phone at the house of the victim, Tyesha Turner, 26, of Jamaica said the police returned Turner's money.
If Brown was the kind of cop who would be petty enough to snatch $2,000 from a pouch, the Atlanta police force and the people of the city are probably better off without Brown in uniform.

D@@N DIRTY COP!!!!!!!!He’s on paid administrated leave…… go figure. This cop was caught red handed with his hand in the cookie jar. He should have been fired on the spot. You get caught stealing you go to jail & await trial. Since he’s a cop he gets to go on paid vacation while they figure a way to sweep his actions under the rug. They say all cops are not bad but tell me this. Where are the good ones? You can’t walk up to a cop on the street these days a carry on a conversation with not one of them. If you do you will probably be brought up on the trumped up charges for just asking, saying or moving a body part in the wrong manner. Cops claim to want to be more people friendly but how can that be when they see a person as a potential suspect. I say throw this cop in jail & set up a sting to catch more cops like him. The public will never trust police unless something is done to weed out every bad, corrupt & rouge cop that is out there. This cop probably done this before but didn’t get caught. Who knows he may even have a body or two on his hands. It’s plain to see that it’s not just this cop out there that is dirty. There are 1000’s if not tens of thousands of dirty cops in this country. Every week we see them doing something against law bidding citizens & yet still no one even lifts a finger to right a wrong. We have people in prison today because cops like this dude get away with dirt. My stance is this; if we can vote a good man into the White House then we should also be able to vote dirty cops off the force.
