R&B crooner Usher (pictured above) is the most recent A-lister celeb who is hanging his head low after learning that he accepted "blood monies" from Libyan terrorist dictator Muammar Abu Minyar el-Qaddafi (pictured below middle).
Usher released a statement on Friday, saying that although he was paid for only appearing at Beyoncé 's 2009 St. Bart's concert, he is "sincerely troubled" and will donate monies to human rights organizations:"I will be donating all of my personal proceeds from that event to various human rights organizations," he said in a statement released to the Associated Press.
The statement also said Usher made a contribution Friday to Amnesty International, which the organization confirmed. Now, as far as how much Usher donated, according to the group, the performer requested the donation amount be kept private.
The singer is not the only performer who has decided to take their Qaddafi earnings and regift it to some humanitarian charity.

Nelly Furtado came out of the closet last week and led the pack by publicly admitting to receiving a cool mill, after a 45-minute 2007 concert for the defiant dictator. After coming clean, Furtado pledged to hand over her monies to charity.
Song diva Beyoncé (pictured right) also decided to make a smart PR move by announcing that, although she performed for Qaddafi and his kin back in 2009, she had already donated all of her fees and commissions to Haiti.
Beyoncé's publicist released the info about her client's generous move just days after Furtado came clean:
"Once it became known that the third-party promoter was linked to the Qaddafi family, the decision was made to put that payment to a good cause."
Mariah Carey (pictured left) is also jumping on the humanitarian bandwagon and has stated that she, too, will donate her million-dollar 2008 concert earnings from the Qaddafi clan.
The concerts and star-studded parties thrown by the Qaddafis were opulent and clearly showed off a lavish lifestyle that angered their countrymen. In a place where poverty and oppression reigns supreme, the Qaddafis seemed to be the only ones benefiting from their country's oil riches.
Qaddafi's record of brutality and terrorism during his 40-year reign is well documented.
As far as other artists giving back and washing their hands, such as 50 Cent or Lionel Richie, who performed for the Qaddafis in 2005 and 2006, respectively, no word yet.
Should artists be held accountable in situations like these? Does keeping the "blood money" they earned make them bad people?
Chime in and tell us what you think?

how ever if i paid you money and you know or here its blood money and you decide you want nothing to do with me or that money and you give away all the money too the poor or needy that is a very good thing on your part,so Usher and Beyonce you did a good thing by giving up the money,,,, now if the others dont give back there money i still would not hate them things are hard these days and it might be an artis who was so glad to make some money did not know it would turn out like this and have already spend his money so i am not quick to judge, the world is full of con artist people who show you a good face in public but behind closed doors there rats.

I don't get it. These artists work for a living and deserve to be compensated for the entertainment they provide. Once the money exchanged hands, it no longer was Qaddafi money. The money belonged to the artists, and I bet not one of them can identify the exact bills they received from the Qaddafi family. That money went into some bank, and banks don't track a precise dollar. Banks lend and borrow money. Those dollars have been circulated and no one can identify the exact dollar bills unless they brought them home and tucked them away. I doubt any of the artists did that. I just don't get it. I'm happy artists donated to charities, but why call the money Qaddafi money. Doing so is taking a political position on foreign affairs. I don't support that. We're involved in enough mess in foreign countries. Mess that taxpayers are providing when at a time when we are having trouble supporting what is needed in America for Americans.

If you want to talk about who is bad and who is good, let's talk about the money grabbing rich Americans who rip off everybody and never go to jail. They have put thousands of Americans out of work and took all their money and asked for more. We are quick to point the finger at others, but never at home. Check the compaines that teach us to hate one another while robbing us blind. The rich Americans tell us what to think and who to hate. Even in todays hard time, they continue to get richer and not care about us middle class at all.

how do we know if the money these performer received was "blood money". did Qaddafi killed people and took their money. what did he do to get "blood money"? far as we know, he's killing people for social control, not for money.
these performers and celeberities should be very careful about what they're doing when it comes to large charity donations. Now that they done this has happen, news about bad people might start comming out of the wood works and they may find that these bad people they performed for and was paid millions of dollars. they may end of donating themselves into bankruptcy. they should think about this.
it was nice that these performers donated their money to humaritan causes, but remember there is an american cause that also needs funding and attention. there are poor and homeless people here in america.
