The doctor who stands accused of involuntary manslaughter in Michael Jackson's death has been reprimanded by the California Medical Board for failing to notify the Nevada Medical Board officials of his delinquent child support payment record.
According to the letter of reprimand, which was made public on Monday, Dr. Conrad Murray did not alert the Nevada Medical Board to the fact that he had been in arrears with child support payments when he renewed his medical license in 2007 and 2009.
A public letter of reprimand is a less severe form of discipline that practicing physicians can negotiate for minor violations in order to avoid more formal charges down the line.
Murray still holds licenses to practice medicine in California, Texas and Nevada but faces various disciplinary actions and some restrictions. The cardiologist's California medical license, which he has held for the past 20 years, was suspended in January until his criminal case is over. In Texas, Murray's license received some restrictions nearly a year ago. Last June, medical board officials in Nevada barred Murray from administering any heavy sedative medications.
Michael Jackson passed away on June 25, 2009, after receiving lethal levels of the powerful anesthetic propofol. Murray, who was Jackson's personal attending physician, had been treating the entertainer for insomnia. Prosecutors contend that the 57-year-old doctor violated medical care standards by not administering the drug properly, then not being forthcoming with how he used the drug after the entertainer's death.
Murray's trial is scheduled for March 24 in the Los Angeles Superior Court. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges leveled against him in connection to Jackson's death.
Edward Chernoff, Murray's lawyer, claims that he is unaware of any reprimand letter and refused comment.

If this is true,ie,behind in child support payments; wasn't the doctor receiving enough money from Michael Jackson to pay child support(?). By the way I don't think the doctor should be on trial for Michael's death. It appears he didn't force Michael to take any drugs bc it appears Michael was addicted and took drugs fully on his own accord. Now the ethics of providing the drugs (if the doctor did) is a different story.

Dr. Murray did no worse than any american citizen would do when tempted with huge amounts of money. The men who paid cash to learn how to steer a plane, only to learn it was to be used for destruction in New york. B. Madoff whose greed put him in jail forever, and caused his son to kill himself. the list goes on. If someone waves enough of it in front of "YOU", guess who the next victims will be? The "LOVE" of money leads to a multitude of sins.

Well Doc. Hooch...I mean Turner, were you there & check your facts, were those little black boys trying to sue him!!!! As far as Dr. Murray goes, he had an obligation to keep Michael alive & not let the old mighty dollar cloud his judgement, but like Darrell said "For the love of Money". So many people do it but it doesn't make it right & he should pay in some form or fashion!!!!
