Donald Trump will believe it when he sees it.
The loud-mouthed billionaire called out President Obama during an appearance on 'The View' Wednesday, demanding the nation's leader put an end to the debate over whether or not he was actually born in the United States.
"I want him to show his birth certificate. I want him to show his birth certificate," Trump shouted to the show's five co-hosts. "There's something on that birth certificate that he doesn't like."
Trump, who was on the show to discuss his own potential presidential run in 2012, said he felt Obama was probably born in the U.S.
"I really believe there's a birth certificate," Trump said. "Why doesn't he show his birth certificate? And you know what? I wish he would. I think it's a terrible pale that's hanging over him."
Trump's pleas seem unnecessary, as Obama's birth certificate has been widely available on the Internet for years.
Many news organizations requested in 2008 that the then-Illinois senator provide a copy, which his campaign readily produced.
The ladies of 'The View,' most notably Barbara Walters and Whoopi Goldberg, were dismayed by Trump's statements.
"I think that's the biggest pile of dog mess I've heard in ages," Goldberg quipped.
While several Republican candidates have strongly hinted they'll be running in 2012, Trump said he won't know for sure until later this spring.
"I'm going to make a decision sometime prior to June," he said. "I'm thinking about it very strongly. I think I'd do a really good job. I think I'd protect this country like it's not being protected."

Those girls have gotten so complaicent of needing to argue that now they just sound ignorant doing it. How dare she make it race driven for the the need to know citizenship. If it was an issue for any other president, oh trust they would need to show, and obviously it is an issue for Obama, so it's his duty to perform dillegently and act with public integrity, it's just shameful to ignore reasoning responsibly, and it is more shameful for these girls to think handing out free passes and ignoring issues is the "polite" way of not sounding opinionated, yet they are the most opinionated group of ankle biters I have ever seen on TV.

If this comment had been asked of George W. Bush the United States would have gone to war. Fighting for his right of legitimacy. But because President Obama is Black and living in the White House he has been bashed by every person who dared not open their moouths against the crap that Bush and his Vice President did. Have we gone so far that now we have to prove who we or what we are? This is not the real issue here, his legitimacy has already been established by the Government in which he is governing. Yet we still want to deny him his rights as an American. Donald Trump needs to stay building hotels and apartments and leave the government to those who know or who are trying to get us out of the mess we find ourselves in, instead of wanting to see President Obama's Birth Certificate. Do you reeeeeeeeally believe that white America would have allowed Barack Hussein Obama to become president of the US if they didn't already know for a fact that he was born here in America? I mean, get da phuck real. This continuous inquiry into his place of birth is just a sideshow to take the American people's focus off of what he is trying to accomplish. This is their way to disrespect him and to assassinate his character. Stop being an egghead. Change your name to atom white.

I agree with Whoopi on her comment. Why haven't we asked any other President to show his birth certificate. Why isn't that apart of the process for running for the high office. Atom Black unfortunately you are trying so say this isn't about race. However, no other President or Presidential candidate has been ask to furnish his or her birth certificate but President Obama. Can you please ask yourself the question, why hasn't it been done before? Only when we have our first African American President has his birth certificate been an issue.

I am not sure why folks cannot read the certificate, nor agree with the Hawaiin authorities. I have seen a copy of both on the internet and if you or fat fingered Trump would Google the matter the certificate and related information would pop up. The irony of all this is that McCain WAS NOT born in the United State!! He was born in Panama; I do not recall anyone asking that he prove he is an American citizen. I also would not expect to since I am aware that children of military can still claim citizenship no matter where born. If the one person who was NOT born in the United States is white and and the one person running for President WAS born in the United States (and has produced his birth certificate showing his birth in Hawaii --- an American State, last I checked --- though birthers do not like it when facts get in the way)is black, the only reason for the different treatment is that one of the candidates is White and the other Black. Some Whites cannot abide by the fact that a Black man can be intelligent, effective, and President of the United States so they have to find some reason to attack. This attack is pathetically weak and founded on intellectual bankruptcy, assuming there was any intelligence in the first place.
