In potential GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump's (pictured) latest brain fart, Trump says he doesn't believe that President Barack Obama was qualified to go to Ivy League institutions Harvard and Columbia."I heard he was a terrible student, terrible. How does a bad student go to Columbia and then to Harvard?" Trump said in an interview with the Associated Press. "I'm thinking about it, I'm certainly looking into it. Let him show his records."
In a dialogue better suited as part of an SNL skit rather than a presidential election, Trump is now attempting to tie his illegitimate Birther Movement claims (despite a live birth certificate that proves he was born in Hawaii on August 4, 1961) to President Obama's stellar education, adding:
"I have friends who have smart sons with great marks, great boards, great everything and they can't get in to Harvard," Trump said. "We don't know a thing about this guy. There are a lot of questions that are unanswered about our president."
What he really means to say is that he had great boards but still couldn't get in to Harvard.
Trump attended Fordham University and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania but perhaps when he applied to both Columbia and Harvard, he didn't get in. I hate to pull the race card here, but is he a little saucy that a black man got in to an institution he couldn't get in to?
I mean, President Obama graduated from Harvard Law School magna cum laude and was the first black president of the Harvard Law Review. Jealous much?
Former GOP presidential candidate John McCain even publicly dismissed Trump's ambitions for president as a publicity stunt on NBC's "Meet the Press" this past Sunday, saying:
"I think that Mr. Trump is having the time of his life. I congratulate him for getting the attention that he's getting."
I disagree with McCain on that one, though. I think Trump is dead serious about running, but because he doesn't have the political (or thinks he doesn't have the real educational) chops, all he can think to do is seize the most irrelevant topics to discuss and harp on them over and over again.
In other words, he's pulling a Sarah Palin or should I say, a George Dubya Bush? Remember when Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry was turned from a war hero into a flip-flopper back in 1994? Now President Obama is going from a top-educated president, to what, an educational charlatan -- the GOP has been pulling these shenanigans for years.
Here are some questions I have:
Has Trump provided even one solution to the high rate of foreclosures in this country? Has he provided a strategy to facilitate the millions of Americans who are out of work? Is he interested in coming up with ways to improve our public school system so that more children in this country can get an education that will make them competitive with the world?
You already know the answer to all of these questions: No.
Instead, Trump wants to make his entire "campaign" about low blows and faux scandals. He should keep it up. After all, Palin was wildly popular at one point, but now, she's no longer taken seriously by anyone in politics, irrespective of what side of the aisle they sit on.
But really, someone needs to tell the big Donald, "You're fired!"

The fact that there are too many people out here using too many overstated languages to criticize Trump, who, I should say, simply uttered an opinion of his own about an easy subject, tells me another story that Americans, wealthy or poor, coloured or noncolured, as well as other-sorted ones, tend to be less tolerant toward those without the same way of reasoning as theirs. Man with an age older than 18 and a relatively mature manhood would only, with an easy mind, comment on what Trump did or does, or foresee his future action. It just needs not to be this drastic.
Finally, I should say I disagree on both of the two issues Trump recently manufactured about your now much-battered president, who I think is very hard-working on your broad and currently very difficult demestic and foreign issues. Sorry for me thinking there must exist another person who can do a better job on this. The problem is how you Americans can choose correctly in a more clever and plain way. Thanks.

Voting for someone to shake up a failing system is, perhaps, what got Hitler into power in 1932. A bull with the nuclear button in our china shop might be a bad idea.

With all due respect, running your comments through spellcheck before posting would lend them a bit more credibility.

Obama is used racial preferences through Affirmative Action to gain meritless advantages over white and Asian males. Factually, Obama’s mediocre grades at Occidental College (< 3.3) did not merit admission into Colombia (< 3.3), where his mediocre grades should have precluded admittance to Harvard Law School, where he was artificially thrust to the lead the Harvard Law Review, where he became the first leader NOT to write editorial pieces; therefore, Obama could not have succeeded without racial preferences.

Donald Trump asks a legitimate question: how did Obama get into Harvard and Columbia? And why does he refuse to release any of his records from either of those schools? Many believe it is because he may have attended one or both as a foreign student (he was a citizen of Indonesia as a child). It is amazing that Obama refuses to release records from almost every aspect of his life, including his time as a servant of the people, as a state senator. Obama promised to be the most transparent President ever, but instead, he is the least transparent in modern history, perhaps ever.

@Mr Reasonable
Read Obama's own books---and stop acting like you can't find out anything you want to about him---it's all over the net, and there are plenty of books about him available, so stop repeating these tired rumors, and acting like there's some big conspiracy going on. Funny how Obama's been in office and you're just NOW thinking this is an issue? How sorry is that?
Funny how Bush to this day could never prove that he'd served all his time in the service and even parts of paperwork to prove it were blacked out on that 60 Minutes report done on it, but you never thought to question THAT, did you? Nope. SO why all the sudden questioning of Obama? Is it because he's not (gasp) WHITE? Ooooooooh! SHOCKING!

NO, DTrump does NOT make ANY valid points. Just because someone doesn't believe things regarding your educational background DOES NOT mean you have to prove it. So what, DTrump doesn't believe he went to Harvard.
What if, I said to you I don't believe you went to a certain college; so, because of that I want you to prove it. You DO NOT have to prove it to me...who I am; same element with PRESIDENT OBAMA doesn't have to prove anything to just any ole body i.e. DTrump who is requesting that he prove he went to Harvard.
He is PRESIDENT of the US; so I BELIEVE he gave ALL the necessary paperwork to be take this position. Do you really believe that Obama would be PRESIDENT if all the require paperwork was not produce? If so, then I feel pity for you to be so gulliable.

A senseless statement that does not warrant a complete thought in a form of response. Presendent Obama should ignore Trump the trumpeter.
