THE PRESIDENT: Good evening. Tonight, I can report to the American people and to the world that the United States has conducted an operation that killed Osama bin Laden, the leader of al Qaeda, and a terrorist who's responsible for the murder of thousands of innocent men, women, and children.
It was nearly 10 years ago that a bright September day was darkened by the worst attack on the American people in our history. The images of 9/11 are seared into our national memory -- hijacked planes cutting through a cloudless September sky; the Twin Towers collapsing to the ground; black smoke billowing up from the Pentagon; the wreckage of Flight 93 in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, where the actions of heroic citizens saved even more heartbreak and destruction.
And yet we know that the worst images are those that were unseen to the world. The empty seat at the dinner table. Children who were forced to grow up without their mother or their father. Parents who would never know the feeling of their child's embrace. Nearly 3,000 citizens taken from us, leaving a gaping hole in our hearts.
On September 11, 2001, in our time of grief, the American people came together. We offered our neighbors a hand, and we offered the wounded our blood. We reaffirmed our ties to each other, and our love of community and country. On that day, no matter where we came from, what God we prayed to, or what race or ethnicity we were, we were united as one American family.

I commend President Obama for his accomplishments for being in charge and going in when the time was right to capture and kill this EVIL MAN!
"YES WE CAN"!!!!! President Obama in 2008 said and kept his promise to AMERICA! He has MY VOTE 2012! Bush could NOT get the JOB DONE!
This was an emotional for me when this news broke out late last night. I give THANKS for all the men & women in uniform who fight for us everyday risking and losing their lives to protect! I THANK the men & women, secret agents, Navy, everybody who was in on this operation for capturing and killing this EVIL MAN! It's not over yet, but at least it brings some closure for the ones who lost loved ones in 911 and for the other terriost attacks on the WTC in 1993 to 2000 of innocent men and women who lost their lives in other different terriost attacks to Americans! We still have to be cautious and still keep on protecting America becuase there might be some type of retaliation? Hopefully, we will shut them all done one day so that there will be PEACE for everybody! This does not only affect Americans but everybody in the world! I keep everybody in prayer and are men & women in uniform everyday! Hopefull one day soon, they will be coming HOME!
R.I.P. to all those who lost their lives from 1993-2011
PEACE TO ALL!

On 911, I remember I was at home with my son watching the Today Show and right before our eyes, we saw something crash into one of the Towers, the fire, the frantic people on TV, people jumping out of the Towers, the chaos, the smoke, and last the Towers tumbling down. I thought the world was coming to an end? Somerset, not too far from where I live, a horrible attack. Heroes on the plane who were putting up a fight to save many lives and unfortunate their lives ended. The Pentagon, couldn't believe how many lives were taken that day? My son and I were paralyzed from our couch and couldn't move tears were in our eyes. I remember calling everybody I knew and making sure everybody was ok? I remember how afraid I was to leave out of my house the next day? But you know what, if you believe, trust, and have faith in GOD everything will be all right and he will always be there for you! Knowing that, My son, family, and I were ok and wasn't afraid no more. This is a HISTORICAL MOMENT and an EMOTIONAL MOMENT for EVERYBODY!
PRAYERS & PEACE TO ALL!

Why would you think this site was racist raven? I know we get white people on here from time to time making racial comments, but this site is really not racist. Sorry that you feel that way.

BTW Trump should feel like a real dumb jackass for bringing up President Obama's birth certificate during the weak in which the President was in the midst of bringing down Osama Bin Laden.
The killing of Osama Bin Laden will go down as one of the greatest moments in American history. If Trump runs for office it will come up in his campaign; what was he doing during the week in which Osama Bin Laden was killed? The answer will be; making a fool out of himself in requesting that President Obama show his "long form" birth certificate. The short form of President Obama's birth certificate was not good enough for the jealous of a strong black man illiterate group of people.
President Obama was trying to tell that idiot Trump and his dumb and stupid supporters that there are other more important issues on the table than that birth certificate silly kiddy b.s.
I guess President Obama was correct in his assessment when he made the announcement that Osama Bin Laden was killed.
I guess Trump wants to know how come President Obama killed Osama Bin Laden. Duh?
President Obama has not missed a beat since he has been in office. He has been faced with more challenges in his short time in office than any other president that I have ever seen in my life time. He has not only had to deal with the economy, natural disasters, the war, health care and other issues but he has had to deal with stupid b.s. on behalf of the jealous of a strong black man illiterate people such as Trump, the tea baggers and the republicans.
Trump not only looks like a clown but after this week he should feel just like one.

Thank God!!!!!My prayers go out to the men and women who lost their family members on 9-11, I don't think Bush even tried to find Osama, he was too busy getting back at Hussein in Irag, trying to finish what his father started with Desert Storm...Kudos to the President, men and women who brought down Bin Ladin.

it is great that bin Laden is dead. His death may bring some closure to victims of his atrocities. But as the saying goes, “one monkey don’t stop no show.” Just because bin Laden is dead does not mean his legacy of violent jihad won’t continue. Bin Laden’s death may be a political victory for President Obama, but it also signals the increased attention his administration will have to pay to other terrorist threats real or perceived. The death of bin Laden — even if it is only symbolic — is a victory. I just wonder how long will we remain victorious and triumphant when terrorism itself is not dead. I wonder how long will remain jubilant when terror threats are foiled everyday, and all it takes is for one glitch in the system to put hundreds, thousands, or even millions of lives at risk. I wonder how long we will rejoice in the death of a man who’s preachings and teachings live on to a group of young Muslims waiting to be radicalized, waiting to create their own legacy, waiting to step out of Osama’s shadow, waiting to come out of the wings and stand center stage putting the world on notice that they will be worse than what we witnessed before.
Though I am glad Osama is not a threat, I can’t help but wonder “Who will I be made to fear next?

It's still sinking in that OBL is dead. Ten years to find him. Only 40 minutes to kill him.
This is a great day for America because we needed closure for 9/11. And unmistakably this validates Obama as our Commander in Chief. I tuned into FOX. They are bending over backwards finding ways to talk about this without acknowledging Pres Obama.
