From the NY Times:
President Obama drew praise from unlikely quarters on Monday for pursuing a risky and clandestine mission to kill Osama bin Laden, a successful operation that interrupted the withering Republican criticism about his foreign policy, world view and his grasp of the office.
Former Vice President Dick Cheney declared, "The administration clearly deserves credit for the success of the operation." New York's former mayor, Rudolph W. Giuliani, said, "I admire the courage of the president." And Donald J. Trump declared, "I want to personally congratulate President Obama."
As fleeting as it might prove to be, the positive tone stood in blunt contrast to the narrative Republicans have been working to build in the opening stages of the 2012 presidential campaign.
The argument that most potential Republican candidates have been making - that Mr. Obama is an indecisive leader, incapable of handling rapidly evolving events around the world - suddenly became more complicated. And the boost in stature for Mr. Obama, even if temporary, comes when a number of Republicans are deciding whether to commit themselves to the presidential race, and offered fresh evidence that he might be less vulnerable than his opponents thought.

As we all know it was President Bush that had called the agencys into play and took the war against the islamic muslum terror groups to other countries after we were attacked by them on 9-11. It is he, Mr. Bush that should get all the credit along with our brave military for takeing down that islamic muslum madman. IN God We Trust.

You should not even mention God in your mouth, for truely if you are not even going to give the now President any credit alone with President Bush lets us know what kind of person you are and how you dislike the President no matter what kind of good he does. And it is not because of his policies. It is his color that gets in your way. May God have mercy on your soul and all others that believe as you do.

You are wrong ...when asked about OBL before he left office Bush said "he didn't know where OBL was and he was concerned about it".

When asked about OBL before leaving the oval office, Bush said "he didn't know where Bin Laden was and nor was he concerned about it". Does that
sound like someone who should take credit for what
happened over the weekend?? I don't think so.

President Obama finished what Bush started without
killing thousands of people in the process. If Bush
were in office, he would have bombed the whole city.

Judy,
Why is it that you repubs and teabaggers can not give the President the recognition he is due? Is it due to the fact that he finished part of what Bush started in the first place? Get over it!

Make no mistake about it? The Obama's
administration took matters in their own hands &
took Osama Bin Laden out. Not the Bush's
administration. Anyone who try to make a gesture
that the Bush's administration need to get credit
is indenial with the facts. As I stated yesterday
on a topic that was posted on BV showing the
picture of President Obama at the WH on sunday
night, two previous administrations had the chance
to get rid of Osama Bin Laden & they both failed.
Of course the GOP has to give President Obama his
props because he went about the procedure the
right way with the help of the intel community.
To the player haters who's indenial I have one
thing to say "your entitled to your opinions but
not facts". 20yrs from now, young high school
students will read about this in history class
with the intention that the Obama's administration
took down a radical tyrant who terrorize the USA,
europe, africa & the middle east. Do anyone
believe that students of the future will give
credit to the Bush's administration when these
students observe the incompetancy of the Bush's
tenures.
Player haters need to ask themselves why do our
history shows President Bush as one of the worst
U.S. president in history. Presidents legacy is
base on how they made a tremendous impact in our
country as well as around the world. This why some
GOP members has to give President Obama credit
were credit is due. Let's not forget that our
President is surrounded by people of experience,
competancy, professionalism & good sound mgmt.
It doesn't make any sense to give credit to
pretenders who hasn't made any impact of sound
judgement. Contenders are given credit for making
contributions, breaking down barriers, changing
the way of life & challenging the status quo.
A job well done President Obama.
P.S. The Bush's administration didn't do a damn
thing.

I respect your position of support for Obama but you are 100% wrong to believe the last administration had nothing to do with the killing of Osama.
The info that was waterboarded out of Khalid Sheik Mohammed and a couple of others in particular is what led the Obama administration to this point.
It was that info that led to the Kuwaiti courier and the tracking of him which led to the big prize. That info was obtained in 2007 and started the long road to the great day that we witnessed yesterday.
Now could Obama have taken a more liberal stance on the CIA programs such as drone strikes and intelligence gathering that are the real reasons why we achieved this goal? Of course, but him not is why the CIA and Special Forces succeeded and that definetly deserves an applause.
Im a former Obama supporter that turned on him due to his liberal/socialist ways and cozying up to our openly admitted enemies in the Middle East among other reasons. With that said, im an American first, and to have hate or anything greasy to say about the man who was at the head of our ship when something we could unilaterally be happy bout popped off is just ignorant and foolish. This party system pollutes minds, marching to someone else's drum. Independent is the way to be if a person is capable of thinking for themself.

Obama is the sitting President and no matter where and how the information was received.. Osama is dead and whether fools want to accept it or not it's the real.com... I'm so sick and tired of these Fools that pretend that the Republicans are trying to help this country and that all depends on what someone considers help... Yes they help this country slide down a slippery slope that was never ending.. You may like Obama but he's doing whatever it takes too keep this country running and those that can't accept too damn bad.. Secondly we surely can't believe the fools that sent this country on this slippery slope is the same fools that going to help the country recover.. Really get over it and get real.
