From USA Today:
Herman Cain has run a pizza chain, hosted a talk radio show and sparred with Bill Clinton over health care. He's never held elected office.
Now the tea party favorite wants to be president.
"In case you accidentally listen to a skeptic or doubting Thomas out there, just to be clear ... I'm running for president of the United States, and I'm not running for second," he told a crowd at Centennial Olympic Park on Saturday. Chants of "Herman" erupted from the crowd of thousands in downtown Atlanta.
The announcement by the businessman, author and talk radio show host that he was joining the expanding Republican field came after months of traveling around the country to introduce himself to voters.
Now the 65-year-old will see if he can use that grass-roots enthusiasm to turn a long-shot campaign into a credible bid.
Cain supports a strong national defense, opposes abortion, backs replacing the federal income tax with a national sales tax and favors a return to the gold standard. He said President Barack Obama "threw Israel under the bus" because he sought to base Mideast border talks partly on the pre-1967 war lines, and criticized the Justice Department for challenging Arizona's tough crackdown on illegal immigration.
"We shouldn't be suing Arizona," he said to cheers. "We ought to send them a prize."

It is very sad to hear an apparently intelligent
African American man subscribing to the nonsense
espoused by the tea-party movemsnt. Mr. Cain's
ignorance on matters both domestic and international seems to be thorough and complete.

I think it's good Herman Cain as an African American is running for the office of President. I also think it's good that he is running as a Republican, because we need more black Republicans just not aligned with many of the white racist Republicans. He should not align his political beliefs with certain white Republicans, such as Sarah Palin and Michele Bachman. Cain should stay away from such dumb individuals. Conservatism separated from partisan politics will DEFINITELY HELP US AS AFRICAN AMERICANS. The ideas of improving and strengthening the BLACK FAMILY through CHRISTIAN AND CONSERVATIVE BELIFS WILL certainly help us by bring us back as a unified people. We need more YOUNG BLACK CONSERVATIVES, only to help improve social standards such as decreased abortions and less drug usage and so on. Christian teaching will improve such flaws and conservative beliefs are based out of Christian principles.

Are you talking about unifying the black family. I thought Herman Cain was runing to unify AMERICA. All I hear from you is nonsense. Black, Black, Black. are we separate from the rest of the country? I dont think so, I agree with Obama, on the palestine issue.Michele, and Sarah, and in most cases, the tea party is Right On. Go Herman. To call Sarah and Michele dumb, shows your ignorance.

@ Only in America That's right you hear from me black, black, black because black people, African American people have to unify with EACH OTHER BEFORE THEY CAN UNIFY WITH SOMEONE ELSE DUMBASS! But, you know what I don't expect you to understand that because your are not in OUR SHOES AND STRUGGLING WITH INTERNAL DIVIDES. See I don't don't see the white family broken up. I don't the white man vs. the white woman. I don't see light skinned whites vs. dark skinned whites. Oh, what you thought America was this big happy go lucky place where all the issues from the past have flown away. Well think again STUPID! The problems from the past are still here. How in the H _ _ _ can you unite with a group of people who don't understand our struggles and bottom line don't care about African Americans. Sarah Palin and Michele Bachman neither one COULD CARE LESS ABOUT BLACK AMERICANS and if you are that dumb to believe that then I have some real good Arizona beach property to sell to you.
No you sound like an IDIOT! In fact your a bafoon, a simpleton, because these uniting beliefs. I'm all for Americans working together, but I am not lost in a fantasy world thinking that white America loves black America. And we are black Americans, not just simple Americans. Why, because ITS OUR IDENTITY AND OUR HERITAGE FROM OUR ANCESTORS, JUST LIKE YOUR WHITE ANCESTORS.

What makes you think the republican party want your black azz? The ones that try to hang republican are just holding a seat. Those rich white men that think they are the second coming of Jesus Christ does not give a hoot about a black republican. A black republican sounds like something bad to eat.

Herman Cain better do a better job of preparing his talking points.
In an interview with Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday, Mr. Cain, widely considered to be a long-shot contender for the Republican Presidential nomination – appeared to be somewhat confused by the idea of the Palestinian “right of return” to Israeli territory.
The “right of return” is among the many seemingly unbridgeable divides in the Arab-Israeli conflict, and a concept to which Israel is firmly opposed.
Just this week, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the return of Palestinian refugees to Israel is “not going to happen. Everybody knows it’s not going to happen.”
When asked about his stance on the matter, Cain appeared confused.
CAIN: Right of return? Right of return?
WALLACE: The Palestinian right of return.
CAIN: That's something that should be negotiated.
When asked again about whether he believes in the Palestinian right of return, Cain seemed unclear about the Israeli position on the matter, as well as his own.
CAIN: Yes, but under - but not under - Palestinian conditions. Yes. They should have a right to come back if that is a decision that Israel wants to make…. I don't think they have a big problem with people returning.

Herman Cain.
Along with Republican Allen West, the "other" black guy in the room....Both are Michael Steele replacements..The current Republican "n*ggers" of the moment.
The closer Herman Cain gets to the Republican primaries, the blacker he will become to the hard core, conservative Republicans base and their "objects in mirror are closer than they appear" collective fears of black people will eventually kick in and take over.
The possibility of a Black Republican presidential candidate in direct 50/50 competition immediately after a Black Democratic one?
Complete brain explosion. Too much for White folks to handle.
Herman Cain, brotherman, continue to talk the talk, preach from the pulpit, show those pearly whites, enjoy your newly found fame, celebrity and make that money.
But just like past black republicans Alan Keyes, Armstrong Williams, Michael Steele and the many other "behind the building" loaded green trash bins of "Uncle Tom and Aunt Thomasina" used up and disgarded Black Republicans will be awaiting him soon....and once they disgard him, they will recycle yet another one to take his place.
Wash, rinse, repeat.
He has no chance.

"He(Herman Cain) said President Barack Obama "threw Israel under the bus" because he sought to base Mideast border talks partly on the pre-1967 war lines, and criticized the Justice Department for challenging Arizona's tough crackdown on illegal immigration."
This 65 yr.old H.C., let me see, now, that makes him age 21 when the Six Day War took place in which Israel defended itself against a pincer-attack from Egypt on the South crossing at Gaza; and Syria to the North coming down toward Israel.
Nobody asked Herman to go serve on that front.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Six-Day_War
Take a look at just a few paragraphs above at wiki to grasp the situation which, if you've read your bible may sound familiar. You look at the map and can see the Egyptians going back to the days when they did not cross the Red Sea without Pharaoh's troops getting drowned. In 1967,they absolutely did not want Israel to take back the route where Joseph and his Brethren were going down into Egypt to buy or beg for food from the Egyptians;nor did Egypt want the Israelies, in respect to the slaves' route back, to capture the place where Moses received the Law written in fiery script on tablets of stone.
This could have been the story that W.read(The Little Goat) to the little kids on 9/11 in Florida.
With that I want you to consider why Obama favors the Israeli defining of the significance of these places and what that has to do with the emigrants passing into and often through Arizona where the Governor,Jan Brewer likes the idea of enslaving them for labor from which she receives profit when they cross from Mexico. Couldn't find a gushier gig for an old Blonde who supports Nazi marching rights in her territory to scare the heck out of indigenous Arizona-Hispanics celebrating Cinco de Mayo. The two things are very related and you almost don't have to read your Bible to figure it out. White Americans often seem to have a hard time getting the message. Not all; just some who actively pretend that Christianity is their thing, just so long as no Afrian African-Americans or Jews try to make her day.
Sarah Palin having been a lady governor, too, forgets to let you know she helped her husband recruit members for the Secessionist: Alaska Party to secede from the United States and not pay taxes on oil profits. Michele Bachman who blew her big tv debut as a glamorous mother of five( I think she beats Palin out by one child?)the night of the State of the Union Message, when Obama mixed it up for Congress by doing away with Right/Left seating arrangements, with a come as you are and sit together everybody(they got the message until the media didn't get it that the White House and they had something together in Common).
But, yep, the Tea Party is fundamentally Evangelical White Christians who have pulled a lot of dumb stunts. I hear from a friend that The Coffee Party might be somewhere you will want to go to talk this situation over with friends.

Cain knows darn full well that he has NO chance. He is full of himself that's all.
The white republicans are laughing their azzes off at this black fool.
Earned a few bucks now he thinks he actually has a chance to be a republican nominee, from that side, oh my God. Fool needs to sit the hell down and go home and relax his old brain. Obama will tear him a new one and replace it with a plastic one.
There is nothing like an old fool.
