From Clutch Magazine:
"I don't know what it is with the church. When you have a wreck, you expect for God to forgive you and everyone else. Don't let the preacher have a wreck, now. Then you become self-righteous and you become judgmental and you're gonna leave the preacher for his wreck, when you done had more wrecks. That preacher's still anointed to do what he was called to do. He just had a wreck. The blood will take care of his issue, just like it will take care of yours. And I just can't believe that people would leave their preacher cause he had a wreck, instead of praying for him." ~ Creflo Dollar, Pastor of World Changers Church International
It's unfortunate to watch a historic institution slip by the wayside and disintegrate into an embarrassment. From the million dollar homes, cars, and yachts pimped off the wallets of black women to the blatant moral corruption, it's about time that the black community say "enough" to Bishop Eddie Long and Creflo Dollar. It's incendiary that four young men allegedly had their childhoods ruptured by Long's sexual abuse and Dollar audaciously declares the incident as a simple "wreck."
While we'll never know if Long would've been declared innocent or guilty in a court of law, simple logic concludes that an innocent minister wouldn't fork out a multi-million dollar settlement on the backs of his congregants. He would fight to clear his name and the dignity of his church. But clearly, it's easier to shame people into supporting a minister after a sex scandal.

as i have said in the past. the real problem with the entire BLACK CHURCH is that they have placed themselves UNDER WHITE AUTHORITY when they accepted THE WHITE GOD IN JESUS CHRIST! it makes no sense at all for any black individual to sit in any building where there is a picture of THIS WHITE JESUS CHRIST! as a matter of fact in THE KING JAMES VERSION OF THE HOLY BIBLE THERE IS A SCRIPTURE DENYING THE CHURCH TO HAVE ANY SUCH PICTURE OF ANYTHING THAT IS IN HEAVEN!

"Indeed the hour is coming when whoever kills you will think he is offering service to God." John 16:2 ...I believe that hour is close at hand.

@ Soldier4..
I couldn't agree more with you.
The wisdom of God's second commandent:
"Thou shall has no image of me or anyone in the heavens"
makes sense. Black people worshipping the image of a white, blond, blue eye man is detriminal to the minds of blacks people. By doing so - it's conditions the mind to think that this image is superior.
The black church of today is in business of entertainment with religion at the center. Black people - especially women are the biggest contributors. Despite years of getting nothing in return - we still hold these religion leaders in high regard. It's as if black people have been hypnotized to beleive in the church and not in god.

Who said Jesus was white? Last time I checked he was from the middle east. Skin color varies there, so why does his color even matter. The problem is not with Jesus at all. It is the money grubbing preachers perputrating fraud and getting these black folk money. Those that know the shepards voice know that Creflo $ and Eddy Long are not God but merely men on a finacial mission, namely greed.

As long as I can remember, there has been a white face and blonde hair painted as the face of Jesus Christ. However, regardless of the pictures painted, I can not ever remember worshiping the painted images I grew up seeing. Instead, even at a young age, for some reason I kept the face of Christ empty and focused more on the fact that He is the son of God, his absolute righteousness, the fact that Jesus Christ is my savior and that he died for MY sins, period. Why get into an argument as to whether he was white, black or brown. Does it really matter?

You are wrong Jesus was not white! God is a spirit He has no color.

Please, give that "color of God" stuff a rest. The color of God or what he was has nothing to do with the topic or the black church or any other church. God is all things to all men. The problem with the black church is black people period! Until we realize that no intervention from man is necessary to get to heaven, we will always find ourselves lead down despicable paths of greed and egotistical journeys that often result in the Bishop Long type scandal.

Really? So the whole "black church under a white God" is the issue? Please. It is not the "what color is Jesus" that's the problem! Have you read Revelation 5:19 that reveals in heaven ALL nations and language will be there? It doesn't matter what color Jesus is - His blood is red and redeems us. The issue is self-worship aka idolatry that can plummet any church. In the black church, there is so much emphasis on the pastor versus the God we serve. The focus is totally wrong. Edification of the body of Christ and evangelism should be at the helm of any church. Pastor is to be respected - not worshiped.
