From Huffington Post:
Republican state representatives in North Carolina voted to override Democratic Gov. Bev Perdue's veto of the state budget Wednesday morning, ensuring that a provision to strip all federal and state money from Planned Parenthood will take effect on July 1. North Carolina is now the third state, after Indiana and Kansas, to defund the family planning provider because it also provides abortions. Planned Parenthood of North Carolina (PPNC), which has nine clinics across the state, provides affordable birth control, preventative health care and family planning services to over 25,000 men and women. Without the $434,000 a year it usually receives in state and federal funds, Planned Parenthood says it will now have to axe its teen pregnancy prevention and adolescent parenting programs and force its low-income patients to pay out of pocket.

they should be ashamed of themselves. this organization helps women with theremost intimate problems and advises them on thje proper way to take care of there problems. many women have survived problems of womanhood and pregancy. there is a small amount of abortion methods that they help with but this is not the main thing they are noted for. with teens not being abe to get advice from them, they will go out and get wrong advice and possibly get into trouble. this is the worst thing these heartless republicans with the help of some dumb democrats can do. what we have to do when election time comes around is vote to replace all of them. don't forget what they are doing. "remember, remember, remember".

They know full well how to avoid this situation; they choose to play russian roulette. If I get into trouble with my check cards should I cry for help from the government to get me out of my situation???? I live in North Carolina and support the elimination of all programs that removes responsibility from women/mothers and put it on the government and men only. Good job, my state. Oh yeah, I am a democrat, so don't go there. The situation are the problem of the women/mothers and the men/fathers only. Don't do the crime, if you don't want to pay with the consequences. Adoptions saves both parents and eliminate their joint responsibilities. Or the mother can give the child to the father, we know why women won't do this--women don't want to pay CS to men, and our society don't want women to pay CS to men/fathers.

I for one think this is a good thing, and I'm not even an American. If anything it will force PP to separate its abortion services from its health services, if it did so previously, they never would have been defunded. the problem is they make crazy loot off of abortion services more than they publicly admit. they wouldn't be afloat without that loot and the government cheese they get. Let's not pretend for all the good they do, the organization was started as a way to keep black, minority and other "undesirables" out of the white man's world. I know they do some modern good, don't get me wrong, but if the KKK started offering legitimately good and needed services to to us would we just pretend their history never happened ? they need to acknowledge their past if they want to move on, and so far, folks keep pretending Margaret Sanger was an angel along with her organizaiton. So until they do I got my eye on these people.

First off, abortions are payed for by private donations. The money that the government gives goes towards prevention. PP records shows this and it was still ignored. Secondly, if you are not an American shut the F@*k up, your opinion does not count.

And you extremists think you're helping God! We are against abortions, but don't force a woman to do something she don't want to do! God don't force people to come to him. It's "whosoever will, let them come". Stop being a bully.

@ Judy,
Judy, girl you are dumb...that's the only way I can put it.
There are more things going on in Women's Clinics other than abortions.
Why don't you take time to educate yourself, instead of just typing chit that you know nothing about...and with such conviction!
North Carolina, Kansas, and Indiana are represented by ignorance and bigotry.

Talented athletes, "Boycott North Carolina and all the rest of this states"! Young people, fight back! God is pro choice. We can teach women against abortion in a loving way, but whatever she chooes, she has to live with it and accept the consequences. She has to stand before God. That includes rape victims, incest, whatever. These men are prepping to light a fire, they will get burnt.
