Rep. Michele Bachmann, a white woman from Minnesota, called out President Barack Obama for "failing" the Black and Hispanic communities by not boosting abysmally high unemployment rates among these groups.
Bachmann cited double-digit unemployment rates among them as proof that Obama's "status quo is not working for Americans."
"This president has failed the Hispanic community. He has failed the African-American community," Bachmann said while delivering a speech at The Republican Leadership Conference in New Orleans last week. "He has failed us all when it comes to jobs."
Bachmann, who hopes to snag the Republican presidential nomination for 2012, said, "The status quo certainly isn't working for the African-American community, with 16 percent unemployment, or the Hispanic community, with nearly 12 percent unemployment."
"It's even worse for the youth: For Hispanic youth right now, 26 percent unemployment; for African-American youth, 40 percent unemployment," she continued.
Indeed, Bachmann's assessment of the unemployment mess in the black and Hispanic communities is dire, as cited in a Huffington Post article in April that suggested black unemployment is at Depression level highs in some cities.
It is the second time in less than a week that talk of race and President Obama has taken center stage at The Republican Leadership Conference. Reggie Brown, a comedian and Obama impersonator made off-color jokes hinting at the president's mixed race.
"Black Leadership Month," Brown said while impersonating Obama, "Michelle, she celebrates the full month and you know, I celebrate half."
At another point Brown showed a photo from the show 'Sanford and Son' and made comparisons to the Redd Foxx character to show what Obama might look like when he's older.
Brown was later hauled off stage after he turned the jokes on Republican stars Tim Pawlenty and Bachmann.
Organizers pulled Brown because at that point "the performance had gone too far and was getting inappropriate," according to CNN.

....And what does Michele Bachmann have to offer Blacks and Hispanics besides the tea party.
The same racist group that spew race talk to our Black President and wants to rid legal Mexicans from Arizona and the U.S.
Us Blacks and our Hispanics/Mexicans and Latino friends will stick together, Mrs Bachmann thanks to your racist views and don't you forget that mrs Bachmann.
Ya hear mrs Bachmann.

Well, first it needs to be clearly said that the President hasn't failed the black community...Black people have themselves! And, continues to fail their own community! Secondly, the Latinos could care less about black people, and who can blame them? At least they seem to know how to better address, and take care of themselves then black people do! And, whether or not if you like them, or not you have to give them their props for respecting themselves as a people. Blacks just as usual only continue to run their mouths, and whinnying, and complaining about what white people aren't doing for them! But, at the same time refuse to take any responsibility for the black community. And, what are those so-called black leaders doing? ...Nothing! Same old tired story!

Exactly! The tea party is the klan in disguise. They are the same type of people who, during the civil rights era, were carrying signs that said race mixing is communism. I'll keep backing the President thank you very much crazy bachmann!

@Eric and Greg
First of all, as far I'm concerned, what the two of you say doesn't even count on Black Voices.
I have many friends of Hispanic/Latino decent who would spit on a caucasians. I've seen it.
My Mexicans/Latino/hispanic friends are swearing Bachmann and people like her everyday and I'll be grinning as we re-elected President Obama in 2012.
Oh, is Eric your puppet? LOL.

You don't have to agree with me! Who cares? That's, not the point, but you at least have to be willing to hear, and accept the real truth about what's happening, and is continuing not to happen in the black community at large. You, sadly sound just like you're like most black folks in this site that are in their usual perpetual state of denial, and have a dependent mentality. That, continues to be the "Achilles heel" for black America, and why we as a people aren't more progressive as other races. As, for "Black Voices" this site doesn't have any real accountability, or creditability in the real world anyway! Who, even wants, or cares to know if Latinos want to spit on white people? That's sound just like pure ignorance! FYI...I've seen some Latinos that would love to do that very same to black people as well So, what's your point?. Perhaps you aren't aware of that fact!

Matt you are absolutely right, What these race baiters are are in there unintelligent way is trying to off the wall say, and is hoping, is to cause brickering among the minorities who voted in president Obama. All of a sudden now they care. They the republicans ignored the minority voting bloc all before and now with lies and innueno's is hoping to get some of the minorities this time to vote for what they thought was a sure thing last time around but what they forgets is that everyone can see through their sh*t!
