From the Washington Post:
Here's a quiz: Which names do you recognize? Aja. N'Kiah. Tatianna. Brittany. Caylee. All five girls, authorities said, were killed by their mothers. Yet it's likely that, besides their family and friends, not many people remember sisters Aja Fogle, 5, N'Kiah Fogle, 6, Tatianna Jacks, 11, and Brittany Jacks, 16. In 2008, when their decaying bodies were found in their mother's Southeast Washington rowhouse, their faces weren't splashed on the covers of magazines, and their deaths weren't the subject of debate on national news programs.

We all know black children do not get the coverage of white. But I blame black people for this. We take what the white media give us and never complain. We need to do for self. yes, I am talking to all the rich blacks that do not give back to the black people.

So Martha, what you are saying is that you would like to have more coverage on black mothers who abuse and kill their children.
I also find your re distribution of wealth comment interesting. "you have money, I don't so give me some of yours".

Martha,
Let them give the Casey's all the media for negativity. Black people get enough negativity in the media

Why do you guys insist on perpetrating racism with these sensational, racicist topics and, at the same time, say racism is alive and well. I submit to you that whoever keeps it alive and well are racists regardless of color.

Lavonda,
Are you really that stupid. Or are you pretending. TALKING ABOUT issues of race doesn't make you racist! Pointing out the disparity in coverage between whites and non-whites doesn't make a black person racist toward white people either. If you point out bad behavior by you child and attempt to correct that behavior, does that mean you hate your child?
According to your logic, the reason racism exists is because black people keep talking about it. If we don't talk about it, it's not there...Gotcha! Let me know if that works in any other aspects of your life.

Are you suggesting, Lavanda, that we just never speak about it, even though racism is seriously alive in our country today? I'm a young white woman, and I'd have to be blinder than a bat than to see the only cause of racism today is people speaking their minds about it. That's just crazy talk. All the murderers that are women that I can name are white. Can't think of a single black one.

Greg D. and Bruce are the same African American troll.
Well Whites own the media so I guess they can show what ever they want.
If BET isn't covering it I guess Black's won't know?
Anyway, sad case. She'll do it again and get caught.

Martha, you are correct, we don't get the media attention that whites get for same or similar incidents. Here in St. Louis, Mo, they have this thing called "Crime Stoppers" where the police offer a reward for the capture and conviction of individuals that perpetratecrime on white people. This does not apply to black people. We can kill each other up from dawn to dusk and the crimes go mostly unseloved. St. Louis has rated the number 1 city in violent crimes, and about 1/10 of the criminals in the prison system are there for violent crimes. Most are there for crimes that are not as severe as the child killers. Lavanda, you are correct as well. we do bring the issue of racism up a lot. But we can't keep our heads in the sand, and pretend that it does not exist. Racism is alive and well in this country and around the word. no matter how hard you try to put that behind you, it is prevalent and present each and every day. Look around and listen to what is being said and done.

Your comment about St. Louis Crimestoppers is simply false. The CrimeStoppers website shows 36 victims and 25 of them are black. http://www.stlrcs.org/victim.html
The St. Louis police chief is black.
Please don't make things up. You cast doubt on valid complaints.

We as Black people have lost sight of what and who we are. But that can't be helped, because it took 400 years to get us to the mentality that we are in now, and it is going to take another 400 years to straigten our asses out. But until that happens, we will always be the people that we are. A good example, most of our children don't even know about the civil rights marches of the 60s and 70s. Let alone peole like Martin Luther King, H. Rapp Brown, Huey P. Newton, Medger Evers, the bus boycotts, the blown up church that killed those little black girls in Alabama. We don't even teach our children to want something better for themselves. We tend to take pride in being ignorant and doing stupid things to ourselves and each other. Yes racism is alive, and the bigest racist in America is us. The white people may make little racist statements of do little racist things, but WE ARE THE WORST RACIST OF THEM ALL. WE HATE BLACK PEOPLE SO MUCH THAT WE ARE KILLING EACH OTHER AT SUCH AN ALARMING RATE, AND THINKING NOTHING OF IT. WE HATE OURSELVES SO MUCH THAT WE WOULD RATHER KILL EACH OTHER THAN TO FIND A WAY TO COEXIST WITH EACH OTHER. AND IT'S A SHAME
