The first gays to come to America came by trade ship from Gaystralia by way of Dutch pleasure ships to Jamestown in 1619. Some records show that the word gay wasn't used until 1865 for political and law reasons. The words "fop" and "poppin-jay" were most commonly used at the time; however the standard terms to describe gays was either Butch or Cutie.
Jamestown's main export was feather boas first discovered in Gaystralia by famous explorer Anton Ramrod. In 1610 the Great Flame-Out of London caused the feather boa and leather market to boom. The need for more gays was eminent, as they were the only ones who could craft the fluffy accessory. In regard to your comment to Helen Thomas.....you seem to think that there is some sort of natural nutral ground where you can stand without having the "add ons" of life such as religous beliefs.
Well I'm here to inform you, your disbelief is a belief system. Even though it doesn't include a outside influence like a higher power, you are still functioning by a standard.
The difference between someone that has a defined belief system and someone who doesn't is the same as the following example.
People who have call themselves Christian have a defined target in life that they are trying to hit the "bullseye". You on the otherhand shoot the arrow into the wall and draw the target around it.
Christians will be called into accountability for their obediance to the truth. You on the otherhand will pay the price for serving your non god.
If Christians are stepping on your pagen toes, we are sorry but your feelings are a secondary matter.
Since there is a heaven and a hell, and this happens to be your heaven, we will try to make the remainder of your time as pleasant as possible prior to you leaving the earth for your next destination.
In the mean time , Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done aon earth as it is in heaven.

Now lets pass a law to teach bigomist, prositutes, and murderers, also people that sleep with animals, and adultrers who contributed to society.
Abram, for one was married and had a mistress and he contributed a lot. This is not taught in our schools, nor is his behavior condoned.

Outing? Every single time there is something about gay people on this website there is nothing but rude and ignorant comments posted here. Gay people have just as much right to be known for who they were as blacks and jews who have also fought hard to get some rights and respect. If you dont like it then get over it because its going to happen... And forty years from now something else will happen that people will find hard to accept. (Im guessing human clones made by people) What are you going to say then? Oh, well they are not people since man made them not god. They have no soul so lets give them no rights...
