Yes! Dr. King certainly was and still is a Member of the Phirst and Phinest Greek Org for African American Men, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated.
This will be a special day, and a remarkable one at that. :-)
Once the MLK memorial is presented, I'm quite sure this will be a historical event to cherish for the king of non-violence. MLK & other icons of the civil rights movement during that era gave their lives for future generations to have the basic rights like any other americans. MLK work & accomplishment should be cherish but not forgotten because some americans of colors (blacks, latinos & muslims) are being profile, disrespected & taken for granted at this time & moment.
Until our nation as well as other nations understand the basic needs & quality of human life is value, we can't accept everything is alright. The words of MLK listed on his memorial will touch those who understood the message he spoked during the era of the civil rights movement. His dreams & goals became a reality later on after his death but his work isn't done. For those americans who believe & understand the quality & effort that MLK provided for us should keep his dream alive for this generation & other generation to come.
Thank you MLK for giving people of color a chance to strive for peace & equality.
Unfortunately, some members of certain group in this country hate to see that growth and achievement. You see, from the 1800’s to the late 60’s they took their best shot and we are still here.
They failed, and now, its time for us to advance even more. When that group see a monument like the Dr King Memorial they vent anger because they know the failed. But now, we must continue to strive forward.
