These are not new circumstances for Blacks just a new breed. They "will" commit a crime but not against a white 90% of all crimes committed by blacks are black on black. This new breed are social cannibals. The NAACP is only re-drawing attention to this age old problem which has spread from just urban areas to rural blacks. With every major black step forward we take two back. This is for awareness that we are slipping. Since we gained full citizenship in 1968 we now believe we don't need organizations like the NAACP even at it's disfunctional worst it is still the best organization heading up the defense of our race. If it stinks its because we stink if it succeeds its because we succeeded, black youth see themselves as "I" not "we" you are only free if the group is free so you need to include yourself in the "we" catagory and start working with these organizations that support black's. We are still in hot water. This new breed just can't see it with all there "I"'s.

It is truly time for the NAACP to go out of business. Let them eat cake no let them sell drugs and poison black people especially children as long as they can make money. The time has come to shut down a go away. The organization is worthless and has in recent years embarrassed itself and become a laughing stock a joke a disgrace. None worst than without thoroughly investigating the false claims against Shirley Sherrod made by of all people a white man Ben Jealous demanded that she be fired from her position with the Agriculture Dept. That fool looked like a total idiot and when I thought the leadership couldn't get any worst after sex, and theft scandals from the former leadership this was as bad as it could get. It sent a strong message to black women. He would have never handled the situation the same if she had been a black man. The organization has always had a reputation of rampant sexism and misogyny under the guise of men first and for women to only bust their butt doing all the grunt work.

@...Sister Claire... What left to say you've presented an open & shut case.. You left out abandoning their predatory lending clients by withdrawing their lawsuit to have their annual award ceremony sponsored by predatory lenders Bank of America and/or Wells Fargo...

There is an estimated 1.2 million blacks in the prison system today. Why would it take the NAACP all of these years to recognize the problem. The NAACP is just as useless as the CBC (congressional black congress} they're only looking out for themselves at the expense of the ignorant blacks.

So far the comments I've read here are true. But the biggest problem is what are we going to do about it? I was over the NAACP many years ago when, as they have always done only cared about themselves; however, I'm really done, when they decided to take on the fight of the Latina Immigration Cause, and decided to back the Presidents so called Dream Plan. Hell, my sons couldn't dream, grand children can't really dream because they have to watch their backs so they don't get caught up in the prison chain gang oh, and I've heard comments about the Black race is more interracial and Negro/Black needs to be changed in the name to reflect the fact that all colors are currently represented, WTHDTM? As far as the war on drugs, we are going to have to dig ourselves out of this mess because drugs is a big business in this country - between the pharmacuticals and street drugs this nation, except for the Tea Baggers are stoned! The middle-east is a heaven for the growth of poppy and this nation has a strong foothold in the middle east; remember, we are the most hated ethnic group on the face of the earth, but we are also the smartest, if the correct history were ever told. So, we must begin to re-educate ourselves and our upcoming generations and remind them of who we really were and what our history really is, and that they have a heritage that can't be touched by other race of people. It can be done, if the right people would stop trying to keep all the knowledge for themselves and put those efforts into schools, businesses and think collectively and not individually - we want so much to be and act like them, that we've begun to hate each other, especially those from the middle to the bottom of the economic scale. I despise reality shows because they are not reality! Reality is that our men and women, and children have been used as pawns and once again re-build this nation with our hands, separated from our families by far distances; job less; drugged beyond recognition; jumping through hoops; tossing balls for the amusement of the establishment - we've done this it's now time to get busy. Stop wasting our money on overpriced tickets to events, paying outrageous money for material things; we have been infected with every known disease while they look for a cure. does any of this sound remotely familiar? We must STOP this second downfall into the pits of SLAVERY.

NAACP is an archaic organization that is represenative of the so-called Talented Tenth--and yes, self-contained. NAACP Yet have the gall to request membership from me. Unless cases involve the mass Media and recognition for themselves?

What happened to altruism and cohesion? They do not work for the "good of the people." For example, systemic problems in communities such as racial-profiling, what is NAACP actively doing in this? I'll let you tell it.
NAACP means "Niqqas ain't always colored people." And they are not. They are white-washed and immersed in white culture. Guilty! Next case!
